The Next Chapter

The restoration programme is linked to the delivery of new housing on the former Lion Park. Key priorities are to repair the Lamb Bridge and to bring the Castle, it’s Stables and the adjoining Byre into sustainable new uses. 

In addition, the Family are to formalise a programme of restoration and maintenance of the residential properties, which is key to maintaining the fabric of the Estate.

The granting of Planning Permission created the opportunity for such a significant investment in the heritage of the North East. However, it is only with the support of those who choose to live and work in this wonderful environment that this investment is actually made possible.

Lambton Park has turned the page on this new chapter, but the story is still being written. The vision is to conserve the best of its heritage and natural environment, whilst sharing that in a manageable and sustainable way with its own and the wider community.
